So what's a 'Sadie' you say?
The Sadie's is geared to be a fun ride for all cyclists. This is a great first ride if you don't have experience but also challenging enough for the seasoned rider. Sadie's is specifically geared to encourage women to come out and ride in a friendly and non-intimidating event. And guess what? It's a charity event! So no matter what, you're helping out The Chicago Women's Health Center's efforts to keep women healthy, educated about their bodies and out riding their bikes!

Not up for racing? First, let me say there are plenty of dudes looking for fine ladies to show around town (or to follow!), so if you need a partner, give us a shout and we'll set you up: contact here

You can also contact us if you'd like to volunteer, as we need checkpoint workers, door people, and bartenders (must be 21 for this job, but everything else is ALL AGES!). If you are coming in from out of town or are interested in volunteering, contact us! Add us on Facebook too!

There will be prizes for Speediest, Most Stylin, First Tandem, First Out of Towners, First Two Women/Trans Team, DFL, and more!

The Style Prize will be judged by the checkpoint workers. Get your creative on. The checkpoint workers will be evaluating so make sure they see your costume in action if you've dressed to impress. We will tally the votes and bring up the finalists for a crowd decision. We will NOT be encouraging the bribing of checkpoint workers this year. Of course, you can feel free to bring those hard working volunteers some snacks or just a big THANK YOU, but we don't want racers to feel pressured to buy/carry around beers, etc. Your costume will be judged based only on how totally amazing it is.

To reiterate: Sadie will be an ALL-AGES race for 2012! Yes!

And as always, the Sadie is a benefit for the Chicago Women's Health Center.
